Hello! First of all, if you're so inclined, please join me in prayer for the Oklahoma victims and their families as well as the first responders and those on the ground helping. As the clean up continues, they'll often think of something they can't find, and those lost will be forever in their hearts and I pray for strength, and peace.
Today I made a layout using a file called Star Quality. It's file I used my Cameo to cut out. I love all the detail that Creative Kuts puts into their files. Now if to add prom photos, or birthday photos, or just a dress up event of some kind, or even those baby photos that we all know make our children or grandchildren the stars in our lives... I used a background sheet of star, black and red, with some gold paper to mat the photos, after all, on the red carpet, the stars hope to get the gold statues! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. file by www.creativekuts.com

Janet R. here, just wanted to share a post I did for Cuttin and Stampin today. I hope you'll check out their challenge and join in!
Hello! Mother's Day is the theme this week! If you're a Mother, let me wish you Happy Mother's Day! Mine has been gone since 1995 and not a day goes by that I wish I could just pick up the phone and call her or go see her. If you're a daughter, please know that while Moms can be a pain, they just have your back! I hope you appreciate yours. Give her a hug for me!!  I made a card today, and this was a challenge for me, since Mom is gone, but I'm going to give it to someone who has "adopted" me and is always there for me! Take a look!

The sentiment is from a Close To My Heart set, titled Spring, and I used the bird, flowers, and butterflies from a package of K and Company die cuts. I stamped the sentiment in green, layered on a green cardstock, added two yellow brads, and put it all on a yellow card base. It does look like Spring is finally here! My special friend invited me to a Mother/Daughter Tea later this week, so I'm going to put a note inside thanking her for the invitation and give to her at the event. I know she'll cry! She used to own a flower shop, so I know she's gonna love the flowers! Now it's your turn! Get your Mom or special someone's card ready and enter it in the challenge!! \

Crazy About Scrappin,Paper Crafts, & Cards blog post---by Christina

Hello everyone!  I feel a weight has lifted!  We made it through PROM!---

My Daughter had Prom over the weekend, and she had a great time. I am so relieved that we made it through it!  I felt a little stressed!  Finding the right dress, shoes, & accessories.  Making sure the hair was perfect!  It all turned out in the end!

It is a sure sign that spring is here when it is Prom season. (even if the weather doesn't cooperate!)

Then summer is right around the corner!!

For my project today I made this cute purse which hold tic tacs.  They are such a cute gift!

Please view my blog for instructions on how to make them. http://cema1cema.blogspot.com  Hope if it was Prom weekend for you that everything went smoothly!

Mini-Album Monday!

So it's mini-album Monday and it's also my turn to post on the blog.  The theme for the month of April is sunshine, smiles and summer, so here is my mini-album.

The paper is Martha Stewart and a couple of Leaving Prints, the word art is also Leaving Prints.  The buttons I think are Dress it up.   Had fun making this mini-album, it's been a while.  It did take longer than I thought it would, but everything always seems to take me a while.

Close up's - Summer Mini

I had fun with the colors, they're really bright and sunny.  No pictures in it yet, but summer is almost here.  Here in California it's been feeling like summer, it's been in the mid-high 80's.  I do enjoy warm weather, but not looking forward to the summer heat!!!

Hope you enjoyed my summer mini and please check out my blog at Scrappy Randomness!!!

What makes me Smile....

Hello Fellow Crafters,

It is my turn to feature the theme of the month. I am happy to share with you what I have created. I wanted to show you what makes me smile...

Now most of you know that I have two little boys that make me smile. And then there is my new found addiction that is putting big smiles on my face as well. I started to color with Copic Markers and I am amazed what I can come up with since I have very little talent in the department of coloring. If you like to see more details on this creation please stop by my blog http://nadjarobbins.blogspot.com/

Until soon,
Nadja

Happy Monday!!~~ Blog post by Christina/Crazy about Scrappin,PaperCrafts, & Cards!

Happy Monday to everyone!  I cannot believe how fast the weekend went!  My oldest son is in culinary school and over the weekend he had a Gourmet Dinner event.  It was fantastic!! Soon the kids will be out of school!  My youngest is getting spring fever!  Wanting to ride his bike outside and to color with sidewalk chalk.

I have been in a little creative slump!  I think I too have spring fever and just want to get outside! I cannot seem to concentrate on my crafting!

For today's post I am going to share something I made awhile ago.  I have such a difficult time making manly crafts!  I had a co-worker request some decorative envelopes for gifts.  One of which was for her son, the other two were for her daughters.  Now while I had no problem creating the ones for the girls I found the one for the son a little more of a challenge.  I asked her what each child (these were for grown children) interests were and went from there.

I used my cameo to find the designs that I liked then imported them the the Silhouette Studio and traced them and added my cut lines.  On the manly one and the Eiffel Tower I used the cracked glass and let it dry.  I used washi tape and ink on the star one.

Here is the (what I call) gift-a-lope I made for her son:

Here are the gift-a-lope's that I made for her girls:

Hope you liked my projects today!!

Jodie's simple anniversary card

Good morning, friends!  It is Jodie from Jodie's Scraplab again.  Today is my 10 year anniversary to my wonderful husband!  10 years and we've NEVER had a fight!!  LOL!  If you buy that, I've got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you too!  LOL!!

This is a very simple card.  My hubby is not really into the whole bling thing!  I was racking my brains trying to come up with something, when I happened to check out my Cricut Craft Room account!  Guess what?  Simple cards is available free this week.  What a cute cartridge that is!!

I cut the card out of pink American Crafts cardstock and the inside out of red American Crafts cardstock.

I ran the backing through my Xyron machine, attached to the backside of the front and filled in the exposed adhesive side with glitter.

Piece of cake and I love it!!  Yep!  I know I just got the Silhouette Cameo, but I can't stop buying those cute Cricut carts too!

Well, thank you for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my quick little card.  I will see you in a couple weeks with another fun project!!

Hugs,

Jodie

Christina's Blog post Summer!

Christina's Blog

I'm so late for my post today! I'm so sorry!!  Our theme this month is Sunshine, Smiles, & Summer!

I am so ready for some nice weather! I can't wait to get out into my flower beds and get them cleaned up!

I am really excited about today's post.  I have been on a kick to use HTV (heat transfer vinyl).  I have made quite a few shirts.

I made this one for my son who is in love with snails right now.  I saved a coloring page to my computer then opened it up in my Silhouette program.  Enlarged it, added cut lines and cut my vinyl.  It was so easy!  I used my heat press to adhere it to the shirt.  He loved it!

I am going to try layering different colors next!  Here is a picture of my project:

I would love it if you stopped by my blog and leave me a comment.

Summer Sunshine and the Beach!

Hello My Crafty Friends!
This is Teresa, from  the Create Enjoy Share blog!
. For the month of April, our theme at Our Kreative Karma is Sunshine, Smiles, Summer or things that make us smile.
My project today covers a little bit of all of that!
Now, for the very first time EVER, I am sharing with you a card that is <GASP>   NOT COMPLETELY FINISHED!  Oh my, Oh my!  Why would I ever do that, you ask?  My card is for a very special birthday of a very special person and just in case she happens to check this blog post I did not want to have the final sentiment and details on the card!
Now, that taken care of, let me show a photo of the almost completed project!
When this project is completed, I will have the sentiment on the left hand side of the card that is now blank!

Can you see why this card screams SUMMER, SUNSHINE AND SMILES to me?
I sure hope the recipient likes it, but it is everything that makes me smile and think of summer!
This card is called a Side Step Card.  I like that it gave me more surfaces to create on so when you view the card you see the various levels which almost created a "scene" type view to me.

You can see that the top "step" has a sunshine - which I cut several of and curved the edges.
The second step is a palm tree and some sand!  I love the beach and I don't get the chance to visit any beaches very often!
and then the front step is a margarita!  I cut the top layer of this in velum so it looks like the glass
is slightly frosty from the frozen yummy beverage inside!
I also covered the backs of each of these cuts so it looked more finished.

I used bright, cheerful colors which just say "Summer, Fun, Happy,Smiles" to me!

I sure hope that the recipient likes this card!  She is having a "Big"  birthday and we will be celebrating at the Beach!

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting! Please visit my blog as well!  I love to read your comments!

Aloha summer!

Hi Crafty friends! if you are anything like me you love summer and can't wait until summer comes around. My favorite place to be is at the ocean. I love the sea, the birds flying around and feeling the salty breeze.
So I want to  tell ya that this months theme is Summer, sunshine, smiles. So basically anything that  makes you happy.

I used Life's a beach cricut cartridge to create this card.

I love how she turned out.

Jodie's Star Card

Good morning friends!! It's Jodie from Jodie's Scrap Lab.  I have a fun little card to share with you today.  It is my version of a star card.  It's called a star card because when it is opened it resembles a star.

Front cover

One of the inside sections. I colored in the sketched design with some Souffle pens and gel pens.

Close up of the sketch detail I did with my Cameo and one of the sketch files I got from Silhouette America.

What it looks like open completely.

The back side of the card where I will write my message.

I won't be posting directions on my blog until after the 21st, because I don't want the recipient to see it yet. It is a pretty simple card though and lots of fun to put together!

Thanks for stopping by.

See you next time!

Hugs,

Jodie
